Cram Jam: A Reading Day Tradition
Cram Jam is an academic support reading day tradition during finals week each semester and is organized by the DiMenna-Nyselius Library, Academic Commons, and Fairfield U Wellness. Tutors in various subjects, research librarians, and staff from the Fairfield U Wellness committee, all come together to offer academic and de-stress support. Offerings include:
  • Drop-in peer tutoring for the Writing Center and Math Center during the entire event. In addition, there will be tutoring in various academic subjects organized by the Office of Academic Support & Retention (schedule posted below).
  • Research and citation help from Librarians
  • Grab and go
    • Snacks  Sponsored by the ITS Help Desk, Aramark, Office of Accessibility, and the Office of Academic Support & Retention
    • Study supplies Sponsored by Alumni Relations
  • Animal therapy
    • Pet Therapy Dogs, Dakota (11:30am-2:30pm) and Meeko (2:00-3:30pm)
    • Meet a Charlie, a bearded dragon and Priscilla, a chameleon from the Biology department (1:30-2:30pm)
  • DIY Calming Glitter Jars
  • Play-doh, coloring, sticker mosaics
  • Raffles
