Visit our Library table at Fresh Check Day in the Oak Room and Dogwood Room in the Barone Campus Center. We will be promoting the 2023 One Book One Town book title and providing some giveaways.

Fresh Check Day is an uplifting mental health promotion and suicide prevention event for colleges that includes interactive expo booths, peer-to-peer messaging, support of multiple campus departments and groups, free food, entertainment, and exciting prizes and giveaways. Fresh Check Day aims to create an approachable and hopeful atmosphere where students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to engage in dialogue about mental health and helps to build a bridge between the campus community and the mental health resources available on campus, in the community, and nationally

Activities include but are not limited to:

-Pet therapy

-Arts and crafts

-Drug Trivia Wheel, Beer Goggles, and Narcan training

-Hula hooping and corn hole

-Community service activity

-Giveaways and raffles

-Learning about suicide preventative and other mental health topics
