AI Showcase for Teaching and Learning

This drop in event is designed to offer Fairfield faculty and staff the chance to demonstrate to colleagues across the university the ways in which they’re addressing artificial intelligence in the classroom and in online learning spaces.

This showcase celebrates the innovative and intellectually rigorous ways we are engaging one of the most significant developments in contemporary higher education. The goal is not to promote a single approach to artificial intelligence, but to make visible the thoughtful pedagogical reasoning guiding how AI is framed within different disciplines and courses across the university.

The event will feature faculty stationed at tables with their computers to demonstrate and discuss how they are intentionally addressing AI in their teaching, whether in face-to-face, hybrid, or online learning environments. This informal gathering will allow members of the Fairfield community to browse, ask questions, and engage in collegial conversation with presenters and attendees. The Provost will provide light refreshments for all participants.

Organized by the Office of the Provost, in conjunction with the University’s AI Task Force in Teaching, Learning, & Research, the Center for Academic Excellence and the DiMenna-Nyselius Library.
