September 17th marks the Anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution in 1787. In recognition of this anniversary, Fairfield University invites its faculty, staff, and students to visit the “Guns in the Hands of Artist” exhibit of the Fairfield University Art Museum in the Walsh Gallery of the Quick Center (https://www.fairfield.edu/museum/unload/). The exhibit fosters contemplation of a number of constitutional issues with which we wrestle today - from the Preamble’s desire to “insure domestic Tranquility” to the First Amendment’s “freedom of speech” to the Second Amendment’s right “to keep and bear arms.” This powerful exhibition is open Wednesday through Saturday (noon to 4pm) each week through October 13, 2018.
On September 17th between 11:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. students that view the exhibit will receive FYE Inspire credit.
