Writer's Coffeehouse

A space for students to write and share (optional) their creative writing, open to all class years and majors. We will read a few poems as a group and have time to respond to prompts related to empowerment and social justice. There will also be a free write option if someone would like to write about a different topic. Session facilitated by Michelle Hernandez, MFA. Coffee, tea, and snacks provided by the Office of Academic Support & Retention.

Writer's Coffeehouse Goals:

1. Foster a writing community for students across majors

2. Engage in writing as empowerment and mindfulness practice

3.  Reflect on social justice and activism through writing prompts

4. Serve as a group literary listening circle
